Chuta® Macaroons

Protein Macaroons made from Chuta®

Chuta® nuts are also used in baking: these protein macaroons replace conventional biscuits in the pre-christmas period! Instead of wheat flour, we use flour made from Chuta® nuts, which provides a delicious nutty taste. Before you start baking, you need the following ingredients (for about 40 macaroons):

    • 250 g Chuta® flour
    • 100 g sugar
    • 40 Chuta® kernels
    • 3 egg whites
    • 2 drops of bitter almond oil
    • vanilla sugar
    • cinnamon
    • wafers

And that’s how it works: First, beat 3 egg whites until stiff and stir in 100g sugar, vanilla sugar, a little cinnamon and 2 drops of bitter almond oil. The Chuta® flour is then added to the dough. Then spread the wafers on a baking tray. The small macaroons are best placed on the wafers with two teaspoons each. Chuta® nuts can be used for decoration. Bake the macaroons in the oven at 160° C for 15 to 20 minutes. Finally only your friends are missing to enjoy the delicious macaroons!
